I got so busy making cards that I missed a challenge.  Only by a week. lol.  I'm posting now for the MUSE challenge before it sneaks up on me.  Here is Vicki's lovely inspiration.

I'm trying to get away from literal interpretations but, come on, who doesn't love a beautiful butterfly?  I had to use one but put a whole different slant on it, including the color.

I cut a panel using PTI's Tipped Tops and then embossed their Beautiful Butterfly on it with Ranger Black Sparkle powder.  I should have taken a close-up of the sparkle so you could see how lovely it is but alas I didn't and the card is already in the mail.  I colored the wing sections with Distress Inks and then clear embossed them so I could make a splattered background.    The sentiment is from SSS.

My sister goes back to Denver tomorrow so I'll be on my own with the caregiving.  We're all praying that there is an opening soon at the senior living center.  I want to thank all of you who have been praying for them, too.

Thanks for visiting and please be sure and leave a comment. Reading them makes my day.

  1. Keeping your parents in my prayers. I hope the opening comes soon. Love your card Bobby...and yes - the butterfly is gorgeous! :)

  2. Love the bold pops of colour on this - very warm and beautiful against the black! I too hope that things work out well for you and your parents. Thanks for joining us at Muse this week, Bobby!

  3. Way to make it your own! Beautiful colors and I love the bfly - Thanks so much for joining in at Muse!

  4. Your butterfly is a stunner, Bobby! I love the sparkly outline and coloured wings. The watercolouring behind it is really cool too.
Wishing you the best with your parents!

  5. Very pretty the bright butterfly! I hope things go well with your parents!

  6. That gorgeous butterfly is on my wish list - the sparkle embossing is a great idea, Bobby!

  7. Such a pretty card! I love the design too!

I am glad you had some relief with the caregiving. Hopefully, something will open up soon!

  8. I'm tardy with my visits, so I don't know if they've had the vote yet, Bobby, but I think you will have another winner here! You did a brilliant job of CASEing Vicki!!

I hope our prayers do the trick and your parents can get into a facility soon, my friend. Do take care of yourself in the process! Hugs, Darnell
