MIM #183

The technique video at PTI's Make it Monday features Dawn McVey showing how to dry emboss over heat embossing.  This is a great way to give texture to your cards.

I didn't pick the best stamp for this technique because the green of the stems is interspersed with the flowers.  I tried to do it with Distress Markers and the flowers came out too light.  I redid the flower part with HA Bubblegum, wiping off the areas where the stems were.and stamping over the original.  Yay for clear stamps!!  They make it easy easier to stamp over where you've already been.  Good thing, too, because I then went over it with VersaMark and clear embossed.   A quatrefoil ef, sentiment from PTI's Healing Touch, and Simple Stories dp finish off the details.

Thanks for stopping by.  I love reading your comments so I hope you leave one.

So soft and delicate, Bobby ... the gentle quatrefoil embossing over the sweet bloom puts me in mind of a delicious quilt! Anita :)
