JUGS # 277 and TO

I remember when I used to make cookie hearts for my kids' classroom, writing the names of each child on one.  Now I rarely make cookies at all.  I didn't make cookies on my card either. This is for Just Us Girls.

I got this valentine 6 x 6 paper pack a while ago and I don't know why.  It must have been on sale, because I'm not really digging most of the papers in it.  There's a lot of this "not quite kraft" brown and some "put your eye out" pink.  What was I thinking?  But I have to use it right?  So I thought these glittery pink hearts would make you forget about the brown, even though all my sentiments are written on it.  I used the PTI garland die for the hearts and layered them 4 deep, then fit them back into the cut out on the brown.  Not the best valentine but rather masculine in a different sort of way. (Now that I read this back, I sound like I'm on drugs or something.  Not so.)

Time Out's challenge is Valentine's Day - with the optional twist of hearts.  I love to do the twist.  What every happened to Fats Domino?  Oops there I go again.  I'd better settle my brain down so I can get back to crafting.  Thanks for stopping by.

I can so relate to buying patterned papers that looked good on the shelf, (where they should have remained!), but once home...hmmmm! Your papers though, look might fabulous here...twisting terrific! Fats Domino...oh yeah! (and Michele's comment...toooo funny!)

This works great for a masculine Valentine! I think patterned paper looks different in the store or catalog because I often wonder what I was thinking. I used to make cookies all the time too and don't any more. Those are some fun memories though.
