MM #140, CC, JUGS #274, & VV #11

My internet was out from 10 am until 10 pm yesterday so I'm way behind on posting and visiting.  I was afraid I wouldn't get this card posted in time for a couple of the challenges it fits.  It's not often a card fits four challenges, and it actually could be five but some prefer you to limit the number you enter.  This beauty (if I do say so myself) is for Merry Monday, Curtain Call, Just Us Girls, and Virginia's View.

I ran across some Pearl embossing powder that I forgot I had and thought it would be perfect for snowflakes.  I decided to ink up my embossing folder with VersaMark, run it through my Cuttlebug, and then use the pearl powder on it.  To make some snowflakes stand out, I cut three from SSS out of pearl vellum and layered them 3 high.  I wanted to just use the vellum but it got lost on the background.  Then my usual dilemma.  What to do for a sentiment?  I have to have something I would actually send to someone and not cover too much of the card.  I thought this "rejoice" from SSS, embossed in Liquid Platinum on regular vellum filled the bill perfectly - and made it fit the Merry Monday Christmas challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you're keeping warm if you are in the area of bitterly cold wind chills.  Now I know why bears hibernate.  ;)
