Just Us Girls #297

Just a quick post today.  It's going to get busy and I don't want to forget to do it.  This card is for Just Us Girls using a stacked die cut.

It's a little somber but then that's okay for a sympathy card. I wanted to try a technique I hadn't used in a long time but was brought back to my attention last week.  First I inked up my paper with three colors of Distress Ink. Next I spritzed a stencil made with my Cricut and laid it over the card, letting the water lift the color. I ended up doing it a couple of times to make it light enough to see the image. I inked another piece with the bottom ink and used the cutaway die from W & W.  I cut it twice with lavender, twice with blue and once with the inked piece, offsetting the colors a smidge when I glued them together.  The stamped sentiment is from SSS.

Thanks for stopping by.
