Stamp of Approval box to the rescue. The Casual Fridays sentiment was the starting point for my card and a set from Sugar Pea Designs provides the images.
My next card is for a new-ish challenge: "Inspired by All the Little Things", another Lesley Croghan creation. The photo inspiration is gorgeous.
I just got a new stamp set from Uniko and it was perfect for the challenge.
I had the darnedest time trying to photograph the gold embossing. Even with a light tent it wanted to look black. I finally laid it down in front of a window and it still doesn't look as gorgeous as it does IRL. I had intended to put that Altenew butterfly on the rim of the cup but guess what? Yup, another smudge. I think it was from the pink I used to color the images. Fortunately the butterfly fit over it and it looks like she's coming in for a landing.
I'm also using this for my second entry into Darnell's NBUS challenge.
I'd better get back to work on a couple of cards that are eating at my brain. I have practice tonight for a play we're doing for Maundy Thursday so I won't be able to get much done after.
Thanks for dropping by.

Oh, these are both wonderful, Bobby! I love your super fun take on the sketch! And your second card is gorgeous -- fabulous take on the inspiration photo!
Both are lovely and I really feel that you captured the essence of the photo, Bobby!
Two wonderful cards, Bobby. I can see how pretty and elegant your gold embossing is.
Two simply wonderful cards...but that wonky cupcake is amazing.
Definitely looks like she's coming in for a gorgeous landing, Bobby! LOve your gold embossing... I'm seeing it perfectly. LOve that sentiment from C.F. and let's be sure to put that on the list?!
xx
I love that wonky cake and the candles in the background! And your butterfly looks perfect where she is. :)
Perfectly beautiful, and I see that wonderful gold!
Ahhhh, I have many a card with strategically-placed embellishments due to smudging!! I'm also ahhhhing over your teacup card as I have a tea fanatic friend who is having surgery and need to make her a card. She would LOVE yours. It's gorgeous! And your first card is a great take on the sketch. Love that little cupcake!
Wonderful cards, love the birthday cake and your tea cup card is so pretty! Love all the embossing!
Thanks for joining us at Inspired by All the Little Things!
Beautiful card. Some mistakes are happy ones...the butterfly is in perfect position.
Love your angled cake and the candles, those in colour and on your background. Need to go for a window-shopping stroll over to SugarPea. The gold/pink of your second...wonderfully elegant. Of course, you know I adore the butterfly...
Hugs~c
What a fun tilted cake with all those candles, Bobby ... bright and colourful ... and so delicious! Your tea cup is so delightfully elegant and charming ... and yes, that sweet butterfly does look as though she's about to alight on the rim ... lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
