It's Word Week at Just Us Girls
and Maria has chosen an appropriate word.
That's right. Summer. This leaves it wide open for your interpretation. I don't have any specific summer stamps so I had to get creative.
I considered using the glasses from MFT but couldn't decide on a good way to display them until I thought of the word 'shades'. Then the whole card took shape. I inked up the background with Distress Ink and tore a piece of Neenah Desert Storm for the sand. The sentiment uses Altenew's Calligraphy and W & W's Big Bold Fun. The umbrella is another MFT die with my own added pole and the glasses have vellum colored with Zigs for the lenses. I don't know who'd I ever send this to but it was fun making it.
What will you make for the challenge? There are so many summer stamp sets available that you can let your imagination run wild. Enter your card in the gallery and you may be our next Chic of the Week which would also make you eligible to be a guest designer in September. Need more inspiration? The design team has plenty waiting for you.
I'm looking forward to seeing your summer creations.
