It's another CAS(E) This Sketch retro challenge with this sketch.
I'll show you my original below but first the new one I agonized over. With all the DT cards and a flurry of others I had been working on completed, all of a sudden my inspiration flew out the window. I've been sitting here for days with nothing accomplished until late yesterday. I had an idea and worked on it, didn't like it, worked on another, didn't like it and went back to the first one. And here it is.
The stamp is from PB, colored with Zigs on Bristol. The sentiment is from the same set. I didn't buy critter stamps for a long time because I didn't have a way to color them until I got my Zigs, and then I wasn't sure they (or I) did a good enough job. I'm getting better and some of the images are just so cute how could I resist.
The previous card was before critters and Zigs, back when I did a lot of flowers and all my coloring was done with Distress Inks.
Now that I look at it, it was also before my watermark and light box. Boy have things changed.
Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you're continually learning and changing in your craft life too.

Oh my gosh ... that doggie card is ADORABLE!! Your colouring with your zigs is amazing Bobby! Great shading. Love your take on the retro sketch. And I love your first version. Even though it was a while ago, this looks like you made it yesterday. The colours, the design, the amazing watercolouring talent are all there. xx
So darling! Love the puppy!
One absolutely adorable and one absolutely lovely!!
Two perfect cards Bobby. I love how cute the first one is and how elegant the second one is.
I love the before, and the after, Bobby... but it's the paw prints that got me today! What a cute way to add those details of the Sketch!

I love both of these, Bobby!
too darn cute...love your sweet puppy! Your second card is so sweet too.
A new fun cutie ... and an elegant original, Bobby ... things might have changed a bit since you created that first one, but your fabulous talent is evident in both! Hugs, Anita :)
I know the feeling of sitting and staring, trying and trashing...been doing a lot of that recently, so in an 'effort' to ignite Mr. Mojo, I did some organizing and purging. The local library now has a whole bunch of stamps/dies to use for their paper crafting sessions. Felt a weight lifted when I did that...hopefully that will translate to productivity in some fashion. Anyway...an adorable puppy and how cute are those paw prints! The original: elegant! The constant in the 'changes': your amazing creativity!
Hugs~c
Well I love both the flower card and the dog card. Im glad you have started doing some critter cards cause your colouring is wonderful, I can colour with Copics but still struggle with watercolours for critters. I get so far and it looks ok then always go that bit further and it bites the dust then the bin. Love that dog and the sentiment (whole design). Also love your colouring of the flower with distress inks I think they rock, just a shame they don't come in some type of container that is easy to use with all the colours. A spill proof palette would be good (I wrote to Tim Holtz and suggested that and they ignored me and brought out those over priced markers that you cant refill). must stop waffling hugs Aileen
