Maria is our host for trend week and this is her pick.
There are many ways to add dimension to a card and I used a couple.
Using a small image from Altenew's Grateful Heart, I stamped and lightly watercolored background flowers. I popped that panel up with fun foam and then added foam tape to the larger flower that is a layered stamp. The leaves that went with this flower were too large so I stamped out some from another Altenew set.
I hope you'll check out how the Design Team used dimension on their cards and welcome the newest member of our team - Cecile Ribon. We also have two guest designers joining us this month. Hannelie Bester and Mary Deatherage. I'm sure you'll be inspired to make a card after seeing all the ones these talented ladies have to show you. If you are chosen the winner of the challenge, you may have a chance to be our guest.
I love your layers of flowers, Bobby! The layers of color on the large flower are beautifully done! The lighter colored flowers in the background add a wonderful contrast!

I have some peonies that look exactly like your large one, color and all, in my little flower bed out back. It blooms in early Spring and always makes me smile, much like your card does. Your clever usages of dimension shows well here, Bobby. I love this card! Perfect image for a blizzardy day. xo Bev

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Bobby! Love the large bright pink flower - it's beautiful, especially paired with the flowers in the background. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is totally gorgeous! I love the soft flowers in the background with the big, beautiful bloom center stage! You are doing some pretty amazing creations with the limited use as well! In response to your question, it is not my dominant arm that broke, which I am very thankful about.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome design, Bobby! This flower looks gorgeous and I love how it pops against the very soft color flowers on the background.
