Playing Cards with Friends

There's nothing better than being able to craft with friends.  Now that we are social distancing, the next best thing is playing virtually.  Michele and I have shared our craft rooms in the past but today we are each making and posting a card we made with the same parameters - the Memory Box mistletoe die with Speckled Egg and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks.

I started with Michele's favorite embossing folder of mine, Fabric Weave by Spellbinders.  Well actually I started by clear heat embossing the sentiment from My Craft Spot (oob) and inking the panel with Speckled Egg DOX.  Then I embossed.  For the mistletoe, I inked the paper with Rustic Wilderness DOX and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.  I cut one from the wrong side of the paper so I could have two images to make my mistletoe fuller.  For the bow and berries I took my VersaMark pad direct to paper and heat embossed it with White Pearl.  I'm just sorry you can't see all the shine.

I can't wait to see what Michele did with the mistletoe die and Oxide inks.  Shall we go take a look together?  You can find her here at I Card Everyone.

There it is!! Bobby, I searched for nearly an hour for that embossing folder yesterday - even on Ebay!! So happy to see this gorgeous background again - still looks like drifting snow to me - and frosting to our friend, amy T.! Your frosty berries, and bow - great minds?
Now, about this mistletoe - I adore it, and was so happy to use it again, and spend some time virtually crafting with you, my friend!
Thanks so much for 'playing cards' with me!

Wowzers! I bet this just glows. The mistletoe looks amazing against the embossed background. Love how these two newer DOX look together.
