Time Out #195

I seldom buy card kits but I did get the July one from SSS called Garden Greetings.  I don't know what it was about it that caught my eye except I thought I could make some beautiful CAS cards with it.  I also liked the sentiments which is an important factor for me.  I used the stamp set for my card for Time Out who wants us to use a colored card base.

I gold heat embossed one of the images twice on light aqua cardstock, leaving a space for the sentiment.  I inked the edges with CP ink to give a glow in the middle.  I got my panel too close to the ink pad and it absorbed some of it on the top in a blob so I had to cut the panel down. To keep with a colored card base, I took another piece of aqua and inked it even more heavily and popped up the top panel.  Not quite what I had in my head but I'm working with what I have.

Thanks for dropping by.

I love how the sponged color fades into the main design! Very elegant card, my friend!

Our DT loved your fun design and great use of a coloured card base and selected it for an honourable mention in our TIME OUT challenge. Congratulations and we are looking forward to you taking some TIME OUT to play along with us again in future challenges :)
