Stephanie is our host for Word Week at Just Us Girls and she has chosen
This should be a colorful gallery considering that the leaves are beginning to turn in the northern US.
I must confess that I made this card back in early May before coming to the lake and didn't write down the dies I used. I went back through a lot of my blog posts and it seems that I may not have used this die before. Asking Google to identify it didn't help so I'm thinking they're no longer available. The outlines are cut from texture gold cardstock and layered over pieces covered with Mica Sprays. The rust background is embossed with the Tasteful Textiles folder from SU.
The Design Team and our guest Kerry have some colorful cards for you to peruse. Hopefully they will inspired you to make a card for the gallery.

It's an oldie but a goodie, Bobby - as are the gorgeous colors you've cut them from! LOve the gold embossing!

I like your textured background and the simplicity of your design, Bobby! Terrific fall birthday card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Bobby...so simple but very STUNNING! I think the leaves might be PTI...I'll have to go digging but they are definitely ringing a bell!! Some color here in West Michigan, but not as much as normal this Fall...crazy weather!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful. The gold is perfect, and I love all the texture!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know who made the leaf die, but they sure are pretty with the gold outlines and bright colors. Our leaves are starting to change too but not like up north.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous, Bobby. The gold embossing loks fabulous agains the rich fall colors you've used. I love the tiny birthday sentiment. I believe the dies are Paper Smooches. Of course now I have to try to find them (it). Great take on the word!
ReplyDeleteThe leaves look like something Paper Smooches would have had in the form of a stamp. I loved their style. The mica sprays made such great glistening effects too! Really nice fall card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to let your colors and texture shine through -- pretty card, Bobby!
ReplyDeleteBobby...that textured background is perfect for your sprayed leaves...just love your card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful CAS fall card Bobby. Fabulous leaf die and perfect in gold. Great base colour choice too with that texture.
ReplyDeleteTotally smitten with your beautiful fall inlay leaves, Bobby! The gold is a lovely special touch!

Your leaves remind me of stained glass and I believe they're PTI because I have that set! Wonderful CAS card!
ReplyDeleteThe mica sprays on those leaves is absolutely gorgeous and I love the gold die cuts that really show them off. The textured background was the perfect choice on this beauty!
