Craft Roulette with Therese

Therese Calvird of Lost in Paper was the guest at Craft Roulette on Friday.  I watched part of the replay but had seen the parameters on Therese's blog.  They are Project: A7,  Colors: Hippie, Element: Island and Random: Wood.  I've never participated before but had what I thought would make a great card.  What do you think?

Woodgrain cardstock was cut to 5 by 7 and colored with Frayed Burlap Distress Spray, mixing the spray with water and brushing it over the texture.  Two items down.  Using Spellbinders Coastal Escape View set, I included the island and decorated the porthole with flowers in hippie colors.  The porthole was cut from silver and acetate placed behind it for glass.  All the images were cut in Hammermill and colored with Distress Inks.  (Brushed Corduroy, Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw.)  The sentiment is an oldie from Happy Little Stampers (oob).

Unfortunately the time expired before I could enter my card in the Craft Roulette gallery.  That's okay.  It was fun to use what the wheel dictated and come up with a card.

How fun! You aced those parameters, Bobby! Too bad you didn't beat the clock, but Therese will be so happy that you played along just the same!
