Inkspirational #359 and NBUS #82

My friend and JUGS teammate Carol must have a thing for blue.  She picked blue and white for Color Hues, another team she's on, and now it's shades of blue for Inkspirational.  It's too late to use the card I made for Color Hues so I had to come up with something different.

I remembered a stencil I got during a Spellbinders sale and decided to make my card look similar to Inkspirational's label.  Once the panel was stenciled with Altenew inks, I had to decide what to do with it to make it 'special'.  I saw Gina K do an eclipse card the other day and thought that would work great. I'm not sure who the 'Happy' belongs to, it was loose in my box of birthday word dies.  I layered it up 6 times, added a border of the last piece of a blue cardstock and a Hero Arts sub-sentiment.

This is the first time using the stencil so I'm sending it to Darnell's NBUS.

ETA: I'm also sending this to Color Hues latest challenge even though I am the guest designer.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a little bit of your day with me.

  1. Bobby that stencil is fantastic using Carol's shades of blue! Such a happy, HAPPY, birthday card - that word die font is wonderful - wish you knew whose it is!

  2. You nailed that inspiration photo, Bobby! I'm in love with this; it could stand on my kitchen counter and go perfectly with my blue and white plates lining the cabinets! I did have that die, but I must have given it away, sorry. Too bad I never used that software that logs in all your schtuff.🙄 Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Happy New Year! Hugs, Darnell

  7. OHMYSTARS!! Bobby! I totally, completely and utterly IN LOVE with your card! It's a wonderful replica of the Ink image - and the eclipse happy is just the icing on the cake. WOW! Have I mentioned that I LOVE this? I do!
And yes, I was quite strategic with selecting blue for both challenges; a way for one to support the other and vice versa. *grin*

  14. Bobby, your stenciling looks amazing! You did a wonderful job varying the blue tones, making the weave look nearly 3D. Love the sentiment treatment too. So fun to see another one of your creations for this challenge!
