Freshly Made Sketches #625

Hey there!  I'm so glad you took the time to drop by.

Easter is early this year so I thought I'd better start on some cards.  I don't send Easter cards to my grands and greats but I do send them to the homebound people from my Michigan church.  It's a way to keep them connected to the church when they can't be there in person.  Freshly Made Sketches inspired this card.

It all started with Altenew's Stargazer Lily, one I had already stamped.  I embossed half of the card panel with Tasteful Textiles and inked the other half with Pastel Sunrise.  The sentiment from Jillian Vance was stamped in the same color as the spots on the lily.  I plan to use this sketch for a few other Easter cards using a butterfly as the main image.

Color Hues #64

I've had my card for Color Hues waiting for me to post it.  Now that I'm settled in (at least partially) at my summer cottage I can get back to posting and card making. 

Orange makes me think of tiger lilies so I used the Stargazer set from Altenew with their Warm and Cozy set of inks.  Their warm gray inks have a green tinge to them so they were used for the leaves and stamens.  I loved these so much I brought them with me to make in different colors.
