Just Us Girls #783 - Mood Board Week

It's Mood Board Week at Just Us Girls and Carol M has a fun one for us.

There are so many images that you can use, together or separately, to make a wonderful nature inspired card.

I took the colors and used the Honey Bee Wildflowers for my card.  Two SU! embossing folders were used on the background - Ferns and Subtle - along with SB Elliptical Ovals.  The sentiment is also from Honey Bee.

Need some inspiration?  The Design Team and our guest designer Donna Mikasa have cards to do just that over on the blog.  Check them out and then add your card to our gallery.  We'd love to see you there.

I hadn't thought of how much this card resembles the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #695 until Donna pointed it out.  I'm sending this card to them but there will be another one later.

Double D - First Signs of Spring & NBUS #60

Hey there.  Thanks for dropping by.

I think crocuses are actually the first sign of Spring and I do have a crocus die but I wanted to use my new set from Hero Arts and made a card with tulips for Double D - First Signs of Spring.  There are actually some in the beautiful mood board below.

The watering can was cut from gray and inked along the edges for dimension.  I haven't used my Inktense pencils in like forever so I cut the tulips from watercolor paper and used a wet brush to move the pencil color.  I decided to show them off against the SB elliptical oval and went searching for a background panel.  This yellow ombre' was in a pack from Honey Bee.

NBUS here I come with this wonderful new die set.
