Just Us Girls #550 - Photo Week

Maria is the host for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and this is her photo of choice.

Not being a coffee drinker, coffee stamps have not interested me so I turned to a friend for an image I could use.  It comes from EbyE.

I colored the heat embossed cup with Distress Ink.  For the background I used a TH stencil inked with Ground Espresso (what else?) and spritzed to make it run a little.  It looked a little bland so I cut the panel with a HA rounded die and then colored the edges of my card base with the same blue DI as the saucer.

CASual Friday #137

The cue for CASual Friday is

Yup.  Springtime Melodies.  I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to conjure up something with that theme until I was looking for an embossing folder and saw Allegro (my music one).  A light bulb came on and here's the result.

If this doesn't say springtime melodies, I don't know what does.  I used two different branch and bird dies, discarding the one bird and cutting two of the other so I'd have matching robins.  They're colored with Distress Ink, one on the reverse side of the kraft cardstock.  The sentiment is from PB's Snippets.
