Time Out #234

 It's Words to be Inspired By at Time Out. 

You can be inspired by one or more words, a phrase or the feeling you get.  I kind of went with the entire saying. 

I masked off the Bristol cardstock diagonally down the middle and used Distress Inks to color each side. A die cut sun from EbyE and clouds from PTI speak to the summer light, winter shade portion of the saying.  The sentiment is from Dare2B Artzy.

Addicted to CAS #185

Ceal is our host for this challenge at Addicted to CAS and she has chosen this as her code word.

For once I started with the sentiment which came from PTI.  I cut strips of cardstock for my rainbow, adding a circle die for the sun peeking out from under a cloud.

There's a new challenge at Addicted to CAS 

and as our host Ceal has chosen this code word.

In the summer heat means sunshine to me 

so that's the direction my card went.

I had a smooshed yellow panel in my drawer and use it to cut the MFT sun and EbyE word die.  The auxiliary sentiment is also EbyE.

The Design Team would like to see your CAS cards inspired by the word 'heat'.  They have some to get your ideas flowing and hope you'll enter one in our gallery.

AAA #63

Happy Friday all.  The deadline is approaching for AAA Cards and I've had the card made for over a week.  The inspiration hit as soon as I saw the CAS shaker challenge and here's what hit me

I got the sun as a freebie with a MFT order and it was so easy to cut the center out and cut the cardstock and foam with a MFT circle.  The sentiment is NBUS from MSE.

Less is More #224

Well,  hello sunshine!  This is meant for all of you but also for the actual sun that is shining now and warming us up. The temperature has risen 20 degrees since I got out of bed this morning.  It's also the theme for the challenge at Less is More.

The stamp is from Hero Arts and I used their Cornflower and Butter Bar inks.  The sun is from a SSS stencil inked in Mustard Seed Distress Ink.  I got a smudge beside it so I ended up inking  a large circle around it.
