Traverse City Michigan is the cherry capital of the world and cherry pie is my favorite, so it's no surprise that I chose to make one for two challenges: Fantabulous Cricut's "Yummy, Yummy" a summer dessert and Little Scrap Pieces' "Sweet summer treats". I don't live in TC but am a Michiganian.
The pie was cut from Simply Charmed. (I removed the big cherry on top.) The paper for the cherry part was actually a red and orange polka dot since I wanted to give it some variation but once I embossed it with the Bubbles folder, the dots don't show. All the better. The crust is a tan piece of scrap that is inked with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and the plate is another scrap. The background paper is from a 6 x 6 paper pad called "For the Record" by Echo Park. I didn't like it plain so added the black liner. The tag is from the Tiny Tags set from My Craft Spot as is the black and white twine.
Thanks for stopping by. I think I'm going to the store to get some cherries. lol
