The challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is use a ship - in honor of Christopher Columbus Day. I dont' have many cartridges with ships so I was going to do a sailboat. When I saw the sailboat border on Life is a Beach, I thought "Why not do three ships?" The actual cut has four ships on it so I cut off the last one.
I didn't want them to look too much like summery boats so I did them in a navy silhouette on a navy card base. The backbround paper is from a DCWV photo stack. (Secret from my quilting experieince: I have a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 acetate template to use to fussy cut the background in just the right area for the final picture.) Sail on, sail on!

Love your background !
Excellent idea using a border cut! Isn't it fun to use techniques from one craft to another:-) I was a quilter before a scrapper - I found paper and ink is much less expensive than fabric and batting;-) Thanks for joining us at FCCB! Hope to see you next week.

Love the way your three ships came out. They look so cool against the paper you used. Great card. Thanks for sharing with BBTB2.
