Missed the deadline!

Things ( or should I say "I" ) have been addlepated today.  I made a card for this week's CASE this sketch challenge.  I planned to post it this morning but forgot I had art class.  By the time I checked my post list after class, it was too late.   I'm going to post it anyway just to prove I did it.

Here's the sketch to follow:

And here's my card:

It took me a while to decide on an image and  longer to make it happen but oh well.  For those who want to know, the lipstick is cut from the Paisley cartridge.  I used glossy accents on the lipstick to make it look waxy and wrote the sentiment using a brush marker that was close in color.  I may have to save this for next Valentine's day.

Edited: The talented Kelly Griglione, one of the girl Fridays suggested I enter this into the CASual Fridays challenge - no stamps.  Thanks, Kelly, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is such a fun idea! I love your take on the sketch... but am sorry you missed the deadline. Still, you've got a GREAT card to tuck away and now you're super early for next year!

I know how it feels to miss a deadline after you've worked toward a specific challenge and it's so disappointing. Glad you shared it anyway, Bobbi, coz it's terrific!!

How fun that you take art class! Love the idea to use glossy accents on your lipstick. And that you wrote your own sentiment. You might have missed that deadline, but why don't you enter it in the CASual Fridays challenge to not use a stamp?

Thanks for the suggestion, Kelly. I made a card for CASual Fridays but I'll save that for another day.
