Good Tuesday, everyone. I was going to say "good morning" but it may not be morning when you see this. In fact, it may not even be Tuesday but that's what it is for me so that's what I'm saying. I also need to say Happy Birthday to my husband. He's finally as old as I am.
Today's card fits two challenges. CASE this Sketch
and CASual Fridays
When I first saw the sketch, I thought about embossing and in looking over my EF's I decided on this:
I used Distress Stripes and Woodgrain on some Tim Holtz Core'dinations paper, sanding it to bring out the texture. The Hero Arts sentiment is stamped in PTI kraft ink. I also inked a little around the edges. Rather rustic and masculine, wouldn't you say? Perfect for my brother, who's birthday is Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

This is perfect for a guy! Very manly card. That woodgrain is so life like. And I love that font on your sentiment. I'm sure your brother will love this. Bev

Indeed, it's very masculine, Bobby! Love the texture you got by sanding it. The sentiment seems to fit just right. So glad you linked up with the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!

Perfectly masculine and wonderful take on the sketch with your layers of wood!
Absolutely perfect for a masculine card. And, that cor'dinations paper is just wonderful for embossing. I always forget about mine.
