CC #1

There's a new challenge in town called The Card Concept.  It's a bi-weekly challenge that features 12 designers and 6 design styles: Clean and Simple, Clean and Layered, Clean and Graphic, Freestyle Collage, Shabby Chic, and Classy and Elegant.  Do one of those capture your design style?  Or maybe you've wanted to try one of those styles.  The design team will provide inspiration in their styles based on the theme of the challenge.  This week's challenge is based on color.

Aren't those yummy?  Here's my card.

I would say this is Clean and Layered although can anything with inked edges really be clean?  I used scraps of paper in the colors on a vanilla card base, sort of replicating the tall thinness of the buildings.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by.  If you haven't already, check out this new challenge.  But hurry.  The deadline for entering is Monday noon.

  6. A resounding YES in my books - inked edges work no matter which style by creating the perfect visual seperation between elements....well at least I think they do :)

Your card is FABULOUSLY clean & layered! Stunning mix of DP's, all so perfectly coordinated. The angled sentiment creates beautiful movement and seems to ground the banners! I absolutely love your design ...and all the glorious white space!

Thank you so much for choosing to share your card with us at the first ever Card Concept Challenge! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your blog...took a lovely stroll through your posts....beautiful work, awesome designs!
