F and FM

Yay!  The Fusion challenge is back.  It is such an interesting concept and if you haven't tried it, you should.  This is their photo for this week's challenge.

Like it says, you have the option of using the photo for inspiration, or use the sketch, or make a Fusion, using the photo to make the sketch.  I hate to say it but I was a naughty girl.  When I saw the photo, it reminded me of the sketch challenge at Freshly Made.

I hope that's okay because here is the card I came up with.

The red piece (I didn't have the right orange red) replicates the headboard and was cut from Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge. The quatrefoil pieces were made by inking up my embossing folder with HA Charcoal and running it through the Cuttlebug.  The sentiment from PTI's Inside Out Well Wishes is in Charcoal also.

I've also been naughty ordering supplies online.  Today I got my package from A Cherry on Top, thirteen (yes I said 13) 6 x 6 paper pads.  Four are Christmas pads so I can be ready to do the weekly Christmas card challenges.  Three are Valentine papers to make cards for that holiday and the other six are a variety of things that appealed to me.  I have started my wish list on a couple of other sites and as soon as I'm sure I've thought of everything, I'll place the order.  I don't know if this is fun or madness.  Or maybe a little bit of both. ;)

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of blogland.  Here's to a new year filled with lots of crafting goodies and inspiration galore.

Hmmmm, every time I pop by you seem to be ordering, have just ordered or have just had your order of crafting supplies arrive!! Sounds like a good hobby to me though. :)

Great card! I love the way you used the "headboard" too!

Happy New Year to you!

Ohh...so creative! Love the idea to use the die to make your own head "headboard" like in the photo and very smart to make your own quatrefoil stamp with the embossing folder. Well done!

No madness whatsoever! I'm trying to be an extra good girl for a month or so because we had to buy TWO new printers...! Love your out of the box interpretation of the Fusion. Great card, as always!, Bobby. Bev

Oh, you are naughty! I love that you used FMS for Fusion; hey, it is okay to just use the photo part, right? And I think you did a magical job with the photo working with the sketch!

As far as the accumulation of NBUS is concerned, thank God, I'm not the only one. If you're naughty, I'm on the same naughty train, although I don't think I've ever purchased THIRTEEN paper pads at one time. LOL! Go you!! LITS!! Hugs, Darnell

Wonderful card, Bobby! You fused the photo with a sketch, right? Perfect! It really turned out well, and now that I took a second look, the photo does look similar to the sketch. good eye. And I'm confused on why you didn't order one more paper pad ... 14 for 2014 has a nice ring to it.

Thanks for joining the Fusion Challenge!

I love how you used your inked embossing folder here, Bobby! Great card. It is so hard to not buy new goodies when they come out with awesomeness every month, isn't it?! Enjoy your new stuff.
