CASE Stude #178

I woke up early this morning with card ideas running through my mind.  Since a storm is coming through, I decided that staying in my craft room and making those ideas into cards was a wonderful idea.  I started with CASE Study and the muse by Danielle Flanders.

The first thing that caught my attention was the colorfully scalloped lines.  I thought it would be a good chance to practice my stamping using one of the borders from The Alley Way Stamps.

I'm beginning to see that practice makes perfect.  I'm getting better at lining these border stamps up and having them print evenly.  Yay!!  I cut it out so I could pop it up on a colored card base.  The color is a little off on the screen.  The background is actually the color of the middle stamp IRL.  The sentiment from MFT is embossed in white.  Why the heart you ask?  I may have stamped the borders fine but I forgot to center the words so I added the heart to balance it out. It's kind of the lemon to lemonade thing.  I think it works.

Thanks for stopping by.  If you're in the path of the storm, please stay safe and warm.

I can't stamp borders straight to save my life! You've done a wonderful job and I love these colors! The heart looks like it's supposed to be there. Sometimes the lemonade is better!

I find it so challenging to line up a border stamp - great job here and love the way you trimmed the panel along the design edge. Love the heart on the sentiment line!

Beautiful card, and your stamping is fantastic. I think we all struggle with lining up stamps, and you are doing great. Love your colors, too.

Ohhhh, your stamping looks fabulous!! I've often added a strategically placed stamp or embellishment to even things out too. Your heart looks like it was meant to be!

We're in for a storm tonight and I'm secretly hoping for a day off tomorrow. Highly unlikely, but a day at home with the children and my craft supplies would be heaven!!
