I love this photo, or at least the idea behind it. I'm not a farmer, nor have I lived on a farm, but I love what I call farmhouse decorating. Case in point:
my crocks on top of the hutch and my old tools hanging on the kitchen soffit. This is only one side. The other side has tools, also, and there are a lot in storage since we "downsized". There are also quilts all over the place and a number of old plows out in the flower bed. You can see why I was excited to enter this particular challenge. I'm not sure I did it justice but here's my card.
I didn't have any flower stamps so I ordered this Beautiful Blooms set from PTI and this is it's NBUS debut. Instead of a bottle like the photograph, I chose to put my flowers in a tin can. Unfortunately you can see my shadow in the can so here's a better picture of the can itself.
To add a little more "charm" I cut a lace border from MCS to ground my centerpiece. I realized when I went to post this that I forgot a sentiment but that's okay. I'll put one on when I get ready to send it to someone. Maybe something like "To Cheer You".
This session was called textural effects.
Thanks for stopping by. I have a number of cards ready to post so be sure and come back tomorrow.

Bobby I love both cards but that card for class is really awesome!! I still have to try that technique.
WOW, what a unique and innovative and PRETTY card you've created, Bobby! I am calling winner, winner on this one!! Great homework card again, too. I'm getting lots of inspiration!! Have a great week! Hugs, Darnell
I like your OCC Card very much!
A couple of terrific cards Bobby - love the tin on the first one! Super job on the embossing for the OCC card.
Love them both. So happy you have Beautiful Blooms. It's such a fabulous set. And, that embossed star--fantastic--I was unable to get that technique to work for me.
Your flowers look so bright and pretty in the "coffee can" vase! And I love the texture with the star and those little bits of color!
