FFC #27

Happy middle of the week.

Isn't this a gorgeous rhinestone ornament?  It's the inspiration at Festive Friday this week.

I wanted to give the impression of the silver setting of the stones so I cut two snowflakes, one in white and one in silver, then offset them.  For the hazy green background, I used my new spritzer.  A little inking around the edges and a sentiment from Hero Arts and my card is done.  FYI:  It takes a little practice to get the spritzing even.  Mine is definitely not as even as I'd like but not too bad for a first try.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a good rest of the week.

Great spritzing! I just got some gold the other day, and I'm dying to try it out. Thanks for the practicing advice. Sweet card, and darn clever of you to offset the sliver and white snowflakes. Bev

I really like the idea of just the hint of silver showing! And the misting was a nice idea for a subtle background! This turned out so pretty! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at FF!!

Clever - I love the slightly offset snowflake - it gives it a bit more definition and just a hint of the colour underneath! Thanks so much for joining us at Festive Friday!

Can it be any better?! Your interpretation is spot on and the design is so CAS and lovely, Bobby! Love how you layered the two together!

This is so pretty. Love how you were brave enough to spritz. I am still just acquiring mists, but afraid to use them. The offset on the snowflake works really well, too.

This is the most beautiful snowflake and I love how you captured the silver with the white! I find it hard to get the spritzing even too! Looks like you did a great job!
