Good Monday, everyone. I think Spring has finally arrived - at least for a day or two. I had a few minutes yesterday to get in my craft room to make a card but I wasn't happy with it. I tore it apart and started over and I like it much better.
It is for three different challenges. I took the photo inspirations from Curtain Call and CASE Study and used the Freshly Made sketch.
Winnie and Walter's Big Bang Confetti made the background. The green balloon is from a Simon Says Stamp die and glazed with UTEE. I forgot that paper turns much darker with UTEE but it still looks good. I covered the black hemp with matte medium to form the string and added a sentiment from Hero Arts. The only part of the original card is the balloon.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great start to your week.

Hi Bobby! What a great idea to make the hemp stay in place ... I don't remember hearing about matte medium. Sounds like it would be very useful. So glad you got the confetti set ... I use it all the time. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter!
Confetti is the perfect background for a birthday card! So cute! Thanks for joining us at FMS!
I had an old, old jar of matte medium in my craft closet. Several other bloggers mentioned using it to stiffen and glue down hemp so I gave it a try. It works great.
Love that confetti background and the shiny balloon!
