I took my inspiration from the colors, the inlaid die cut, the line happy, and the embossed background. I guess you could said I was inspired by it all. The only thing I didn't do was the twizzles. I need a birthday card for an older gentleman friend so I substituted his age for them.
ETA: I'm also linking this up to Seize the Birthday without bling toppings.
I had a fun day yesterday. I took an online card class called TrueStamp 2014. While the classes are actually on video, there is a live feed with Lain Ehmann, the hostess with the mostest, and the educators. That way you can ask questions after you've seen the video and get answers directly from them immediately. Some of the techniques shown I had seen before but it's always good to have a refresher and it's so nice to actually put a face (and voice) to some of the names you've heard through the stamp companies that were represented. Now to put some of what I learned to work.
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it when you leave a comment. They make my day.

Love the way you have taken the elements and reworked them into a terrific, unique card. The embossing folder you used is one of my favorites and echoes the "twizzles" perfectly, but still lets the clean, masculine lines take center stage!
Oh, Bobby, this is fantastic! I love the bold colours and that big 90 - when you reach that age, you deserve a beautiful card like this! Thanks so much for joining us at Muse this week!
What a great tribute to Jacquie's inspiration card. Love how you used multiple colors on the birthday word, and the 90 looks great in place of the twizzles. (90--woo hoo!!) You did better than I did regarding no stamping.
What a great take on the MUSE card, Bobby! I think you'll make that gentleman very happy with this card!
I love this, Bobby - such a great interpretation - that swirly embossing folder and the multicolored sentiment - great! You got my vote!
Wow, this is fantastic... what a special card for a special 90 year old! Thank you for linking it up to Seize the Birthday!
This is great! Love the colours and textures. Thanks for playing along with Seize the Birthday!
Super card, Bobby! I love that colour scheme - and the look of the inlaid dies.
So glad you enjoyed the online class too!
Whoop whoop on your Muse shout out! Love the layered numbers and the embossed background!
