MUSE #91

I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since my last post. Well, actually I can.  With all of life's ups and downs, I've been busy.  I might have found a little time but being creative wasn't in the "cards" so to speak.  lol  I did make a poodle skirt for my step-great granddaughter for her to wear for Halloween.  She looked so cute but even cuter was the fact that her boyfriend and another friend dressed up as the T Birds from "Grease".

Speaking of "Grease", I went last night to our local theater production of one of my favorite musicals. They always do such a fantastic job and the songs have been running through my head ever since.

But you didn't come here to hear all that.  You came to see my cards, I hope.  The ones I made for Muse, where my MI friend, and prolific card maker, Michele of I Card Everyone is guest designer.  I just couldn't disappoint and not enter. Michele challenged us to take a sheet of patterned paper and make three cards on a theme.  Here are her wonderfully neutral cards.  I love the way she photographed them, too.

I have an abundance of patterned paper but not much Christmas except for a stack from The Paper Studio that I bought before I knew better.  Didn't we all?

The background blue is from that stack, as is the snowflake paper on the second card.

Paper: The Paper Studio, DCWV
Dies: Avery Elle, Elizabeth Designs
Stencil: SSS
Sentiment: Penny Black
Ink: Versamark embossed with White and Sparkle

Paper: The Paper Studio, PTI Vintage Cream
Snowflake Dies: SSS
Sentiment: My Craft Spot
Ink: SSS Surf Blue, Versamark

Paper: The Paper Studio, PTI Vintage Cream, white and colored vellum
Die: PTI Rustic Wreath, Elizabeth Designs
Ink: Versamark embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum

Thanks for the challenge, Michele.  It was fun to make three cards from one designer paper and now I have more Christmas cards to add to my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate the visits and the comments you leave.

Great to see your cards, Bobby - I missed you! Love the soft colours and pretty details - the vellum wreath looks beautiful. I now have Grease tunes running through my head too :)

The vellum is actually blue, Michele, much darker than if I'd colored it.

These are beautiful, Bobby! I love that layered wreath! And the poodle skirts and the TBirds are awesome! One of our teachers came as a pink lady - her kindergarten students didn't get it, but the girls loved the pink! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week!

Saw these yesterday, but because of a migraine, I didn't have the brains to comment. It was love at first sight for me when I saw this trio, however. These are simply gorgeous. And AWESOME poodle skirt... How cool for your granddaughter, and how cool that she had some Tbirds to escort her! Bev

What a gorgeous trio of cards, Bobby. Very fun selection of papers, and your GGD looks great in her costume.
