It is with a heavy heart that I write this post tonight. My dear, sweet mother passed away on Friday morning and although you expect that sort of thing at 97 years of age, it is still difficult to accept. She had been living with my Dad, who is 99, in a long term care facility for the past year. She won the hearts of all the nurses and aides, as well as everyone who knew her. The one thing everyone mentions is her radiant smile, her fun-loving spirit and her gentle nature. As my granddaughter so aptly said, "She is now singing and dancing with Jesus."
But the show must go on. and I have a card to show you. I HAD to make one for CASology. Can you guess why? It's my obsession with owls that made me do it.
My friend Joyce of Cards-by-the-Sea, who also has an owl obsession, sent me a bunch of stamped owls some time ago and this one by HA caught my attention. I wanted something colorful and it gave me the opportunity to use my Inktense Pencils that have been neglected for a while. The sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for dropping by. You don't know how much I appreciate your visits and comments.

Oh my sweet friend, you will have many prayers said for you and your family, and hugs sent ... mine included. Your little stack of owls is just the cutest thing ... I LOve that, even in grief, you have the best attitude - indeed the show most certainly does go on, and the curtain never closes on Mom's love... xx

Bobby, I am so very sorry to hear the news of your mother's passing. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. Your mother sounded like an amazing woman...and from what I've read, you seem to take after her in that regard! I think your granddaughter was spot on, too.
I immediately recognized these Hero Arts owls and was so haoppy to see them on your card! I loved that set when it came out, and I LOVE how colorful you have made each owl! I also love the sentiment you created...it's a hoot! ;) Thanks for joining us at CASology this week.
Bobby, saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Sounds like she was a fantastic person. The owls on your card are too cute and the sentiment is perfect.
So very sorry to hear of your mother's passing, Bobby. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Just because it might be expected does not make it any less painful. Your stacked owls are so fun and colorful, and I am glad that you had time to play along in our owl challenge at CASology this week.
so cute!
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, Bobby. Having many wonderful memories helps ease the sadness, but it doesn't make it go away. {{hugs}}
Creating is therapy for me in so many ways, so I hope we continue to see many sweet cards like this on your blog.
Bobby, my heart goes out to you in the loss of your mom. Prayers, hugs, thoughts of comfort coming to you. If it's okay with you, I'll ask my dad to meet her for a cup of coffee up in heaven...You certainly take after her with your own radiant smile and sweet disposition. I love the image of her "singing and dancing with Jesus." Yes, the show does go on, with a somewhat different stage. I'm in awe that, in the midst of your loss, you've found the desire to craft; it truly is most healing. Your owls are darling...
Hugs~c

Your adorable, colorful owls made me smile and you know I always love a good punny sentiment. Big hugs to you, Bobby!
