Addicted to Stamps and More #205

Boy the summer is just flying by.  It's August already and time for a photo challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.  In a previous post I said I was trying to get away from the obvious literal translation but I just couldn't do it with this.  Well, maybe it's a little different.
Nope, not really. :)  I spread some Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio on my craft sheet with plenty of water and smooshed to my heart's content until I was satisfied with the results.  Wait.  I have to back up a step.  First I white heat embossed the sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs, then I smooshed and then I cut it out with the Sugar Pea scalloped die.   What's that balloon doing there you might ask?  There was what I'd call a blemish and I couldn't fix it so I covered it with a balloon cut from glitter paper that looks much more like the color of the card IRL.

Our sponsor this time is DRS Designs and they have offered a $10 gift certificate to the winner of the challenge.
For more inspiration, visit the ATSM blog and see what the rest of the designers have done with this photo.

I hope to see your card in the gallery.

Sometimes, a literal interpretation card is the perfect card. Like this one. And if you're asking me, the balloon is an awesome compliment to your sentiment. I like this one! BTW....belated birthday wishes. Your card is on its way... So sorry for being so late. Bev

I love this gorgeous background Bobby and the happy accident that made you need the balloon only added to the prettiness!

Those colors are so beautiful, Bobby ... who would want to stray? Sensational smooshing, my friend! The balloon looks perfectly at home... blowing in the breeze, in your gorgeous sky! xx

Your literal translation is absolutely marvelous! Smooshing sensational; embossing excellent! And the balloon is the perfect special touch! Remember...no mistakes in card-making; only 'design innovation'...

Beautiful smooshing! I laughed when I read about your balloon as my little felt heart was added to cover up a smear too! But your balloon adds just the right touch to the card!
