CAS(E) This Sketch #272

It's a different kind of sketch this week at CAS(E) This Sketch
but I have a great stamp set to use for the challenge.
This is an old, old one from Penny Black that I stamped on Bristol and colored with Zigs.  A sentiment on a black strip seems to go with just about everything according to a lot of cards I see - sort of like a little black dress. ;)

I'm hoping for some good weather this week so we can get back up to the cottage to open it up and turn on the water.  We were there Saturday for the dock put-in but had to leave because we had tickets to the local theater that night.  They did Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and the talent was amazing.  Two people from the church were in it but the only way I could get Ken to go was to tell him his great-granddaughter was in it too - in the children's chorus.  He enjoyed it so I don't know why he puts up such resistance.

Thanks for dropping by today.

Such a super sweet card. I love the pop of yellow against the white, really nice!!! You are right about the greeting on black.....a classic, and so classy!!!

These sweet little blooms are falling so naturally, Bobby... I feel like I might be able to catch one! A gorgeous addition to our CTS gallery.
Fingers crossed for better, warmer weather 'round here, my friend... right now it's 'snowing' Pear blossoms in our neighborhood!

Darling little blooms, Bobby; perfect for the sketch. We had sunny weather for the weekend's bike races, although Saturday, the winds were cool and wild, which meant I was bundled up in several layers. Sunday, the mosquitoes were out in full force and they did seem to enjoy biting me, based on the number of itchy spots I have! Races were great - and I had my first experience as 'chief' of the events on Sunday. Glad to have my very experienced husband there to guide me along!
Hugs~c
