Twofer Card Challenge #33

This month at the Twofer Card Challenge they are allowing us to catch up with our holiday cards by making two Christmas cards instead of two cards for different occasions.  I took advantage of that and made these using the requisite stars.

I knew I wanted to use the EbyE Star Trail and played around with different images until I found something that pleased me.  Both of my images and sentiments are from MFT.
On black watercolor paper, I used Altenew metallic watercolors to make my aurora borealis.  The bear and iceberg were colored with Zigs and the stars were lined with glitter paper. It's difficult to see it and the sparkle of the heat embossed sentiment in the photo.

For the background on this card I used Distress Inks with a blending brush, then cut the panel with a N&T scalloped rectangle.  The angel was colored with Zigs and shimmer paper was added behind the stars.

It was so much fun to make these cards.  I hope your Christmas card stash is coming along.  The gals at Twofer can help you along with some wonderful inspiration if you check out the blog.

Starry nights and angels have a place in my heart, Bobby... I'll tell you that story one day. In the meantime, I'll just ogle your beautiful cards a little more, if you don't mind - gorgeous, my friend!

The aurora borealis you've created evokes so many memories! I feel bad for folks who've never seen them - they are just magical, as your sentiment declares! It's a beautiful card, and I really like it! Gorgeous 'starline,'too. And your angel is so sweet! I can hear the Sunday School children singing... A delightful duo, my friend. Thank you so much for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. Stay safe and well. xo Bev

Thank you for the shoutout of support, Bobby! I love your choice of the starry trail for your prompt element and how creative to have the waving polar bear under the stars on one design and the sweet angel flying above the stars on the other! Great coloring and awesome aurora borealis ~ and, of course,I love the shimmer and schparkle! Thank you so much for playing in TCC #33! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

That Aurora Borealis is fabulous behind the cute, cosy bear, Bobby ... it really shines beautifully, as do the shimmery stars above it! The swoosh of stars below your sweet angel 'grounds' (if that can be done in the sky!) her perfectly ... such a pretty design! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
