Time Out #235

It's time for another challenge at Time Out  and we want you to be inspired by this photo.

Here's a larger image so you can see the detail and get a better idea of what you can use to make a card.

Of course my eye went directly to the bicycle.

I started with the background, masking off the road to make the sky with MFT's cloud stencil.  The bike from SSS's Beautiful Ride is colored with artist markers.  For color I added some balloons from Simon's Big Birthday Wishes.  I wish the balloons had a black outline but those were the only ones I had that didn't overpower the bike. lol  I thought the sentiment from Your Next Stamp fit the card well.

This challenge is being sponsored by Doodlebugs.  The winner will receive a $25 store credit.  For more inspiration please check out what the Design Team and our guest designer Toni have made.

Just Us Girls #634 - Photo Week

Carol Mc is our host for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and this is what we are to be inspired by.

I knew right away what stamp set I was going to use.

It's 'Beautiful Ride' from SSS.  I colored the background with Distress Inks and then stamped the bicycle slightly off the edge.  It is colored with Altenew artist markers so I could go right over the background. I added the sentiment and a black matt before placing the panel on some Lawn Fawn Mermaid cardstock to match my bike.

The Design Team and our guest designer have some wonderful cards for you to see.  Why not take a look and then make a card for the challenge  We'd love to see you in the gallery.

Twofer Challenge #16 and Inkspirational #186

It's time for another fun Twofer Challenge and this time we need to use this prompt.
Unfortunately I only have one stamp with wheels and it took a while for me to think of two ways to use it for two different occasions but I finally got a spark of inspiration and this is the result.
The card on the left is a graduation or new job card that uses parts of the SSS bicycle on deckled edge die cuts in shades of gray.  The sentiment from Stamplorations was stamped on DSP and the panels mounted on it with the vertical one on foam.  The card is not quite this dark IRL.
The second card could be for a birthday or hello friend.
The bicycle is stamped on DSP and colored with DOX which gives good coverage over the printed paper.  The sentiment is from the same set as the bike.

I'm also sending this card to Inkspirational where their prompt is "Adventure".

These cards are a bit of a departure from my usual style but it was fun to think out of the flower box. 😉  Thanks for dropping by to take a look.  May you have good friends and great adventures.

CASology #297

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the code word at CASology was my bicycle stamp.
That is an activity that my husband does every day that the weather here permits.  And by that I mean 50 degrees or above, no rain in sight.
I silver embossed the bike from SSS and colored it to look like one of Ken's with PolyChromos pencils which wasn't easy to do in those tiny spaces.  I had to add the bottles on the back because he generally comes home with a sack of recyclable bottles and cans each time he rides, if his route is in the country.  Oh the stories he can tell about people offering him money thinking he needs the deposit refund to make ends meet. 😁

I forgot I also wanted to send my card to Inkspirational where the word of the day is "Play".

Thanks for dropping by and have a great weekend.

Addicted to CAS #116

Kel is the host for Addicted to CAS this week and she has chosen the word
I recently made two card featuring bicycles but since it's the only stamp I have with wheels I had to come up with an different way to use it again.
The cat and dog come with the SSS stamp set so I put them on the bike as the 'good friends' in the sentiment.  Everything was colored with Zigs.

We'd love to see your CAS card with wheels.  Need a refresher on what CAS means?

Check out the Design Team for inspiration and enter your card in the gallery for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate from Happy Little Stampers.

Fusion - Bike

My husband rides his bike almost every day, up to 10 miles. Me? I haven't ridden a bike in quite some time but I love the one that's in the inspiration photo for Fusion.  Maybe it's the color that I adore.  What do you think?
I made mine the same color with the same brick wall.

The stamp and die are from SSS including the sentiment that I heat embossed on vellum. The color is courtesy of my Zigs and the brick embossed folder is TH.

Well the weekend is over and a busy week looms ahead.  I hope your week goes well and you set aside some crafting time.  Thanks for dropping by.

Inspired By All the Little Things #56

Someone must have told Inspired By All the Little Things that I just got a bicycle stamp.  Now I can make a card inspired by their photo.
The difficult part was coming up with a different layout since so many people have a bicycle stamp.

I happened across a picture with a bicycle leaning against a tree and had an aha momemt.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you do enjoy the little things.
Stamps:  SSS Beautiful Ride, Altenew Birch Land
Ink: Distress Ink in Ground Expresso, Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass, Black Soot and Iced Spruce
Die: SSS Beautiful Ride
Paper:  Range Watercolor
