Things have been pretty busy around here this week. My brother and his wife were visiting from North Carolina for a few days, which meant we all went junking. You've seen the American Pickers, right? These two put Frank and Mike to shame.
My sister and I also toured a couple of skilled nursing facilities in preparation for admitting our parents. It's never an easy thing to do but I think we've found a great place that they will be comfortable in. Now it's just a waiting game until a spot opens up.
I did take a little time today to do a card for
CASology. I haven't played with them for a while but when I saw the cue word, I knew I had just the stamp set to use.
Everything is from my NBUS set from SSS called Sending Happy Thoughts. I knew I wanted to emboss the background and the Geo Squares folder was perfect. It had all the little sections I could pop up the envelopes on. The most difficult part was in deciding how to do the sentiment. The little "happy thoughts" was a given but how to do the "sending" had me stumped for a while. I played around with paper until I decided I could cut a piece that would cover the design in the upper left corner. I used my 1/4" corner chomper to make it look like the rest of the squares and stamped the word in the middle with HA Navy ink, which I also used on the other two word phrases. A little red heart to add a pop of color and I'm thinking this says letter with an S.
I have another card in the works and some stamp sets out for a a couple more but I may need to clean my desk off first. I only allow it to get just so messy and then it's time to organize. Well, maybe I'll make the cards first and then organize. Which is exactly why it's a mess. lol
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments so I hope you leave one.
