For Father's Day

I hadn't thought about making my Father's Day card until the Friday Mashup and CAS-ual Fridays challenges gave me the inspiration to do this one.

Friday Mashup was a sketch challenge.

CAS-ual Fridays' is for a masculine card using designer paper.

I used grey cardstock for this 5" by 7" card.  The woodgrain paper is from My Mind's Eye and the banner paper from Little Yellow Bicycle.  Both of these I picked up at a scrapbook store in Ohio this spring.  I used Lyrical Letters to weld the word "Dad" which is cut from red and mounted on dark grey.  This panel is popped up on foam.   All of it is inked with Black Soot Distress Ink.  Now I just have to come up with an appropriate sentiment inside to tell my dad how much he means to me.

Fantastic use of the paper textures in this card, Bobby! And the die cut sentiment is really cool too. Thanks for playing with us this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
