Shimmering Snowflakes

As "Frankenstorm" invades the northeast,  I pray that family and friends who live in that area are safe, and that it won't be as bad as predicted.

Snow will be coming sooner, rather than later, but I prefer to see it on cards instead of on the ground.  When Die Cutting Diva's asked for Shimmer, Glimmer, Gloss on cards for their challenge this week, the first thing I thought was "I'm not much of a glimmer girl."   Then I thought "Snowflakes are rather shimmery, especially when the sun shines on them."

The snowflakes are cut from MS Seasonal Cakes cartridge in several sizes from white cardstock.  They were then embossed with Sparkle embossing powder and edged with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink.  The card base is white, layered with a glitter cardstock from DCWV's Linen Closet, and a paper from The Paper Studio's Oranmental Christmas.

You can see the shimmer better in this photo.

Here is a closeup of the smallest snowflake, popped up on dimensionals.

I'm hoping these are the only snowflakes I see for quite a while.
