It's Wednesday again and time to show how neat, messy, busy, or talented we are when we expose our workdesks for the followers of Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground. I'm a little late linking up today but I got a lot of crafting done this rainy afternoon.
Because my room is small and everything is close at hand, I'm a "put it right back" kind of paper crafter. The only reason there are things on my desk, or should I say desks, since I have two layers. is that I am making three cards at a time. Each one has Cricut cuts on them so while the machine was turned on I cut out all the pieces. All three of them are for challenges this week, so I'll get them finished tonight. On the upper right are two finished cards, one a redo. I posted a card I wasn't fond of so I tore it apart and remade it. I like it much better now.
On the lower right is my challenge chart. In order to keep the challenges and their theme or cue straight, I made a table with the day the challenge comes out, the day due, a check spot for when I have it made and one for when I've posted it.
If you think there's something new here, you're right. I got the black cutting board with a 1/2" grid on it. It helps me line up my work and gives a dark background so I can see the edges of light colored cards.
Thanks for visiting my work space. Please leave a comment and I'll try to get to your desk as soon as I can.

Thanks for letting me know about the date glitch, Bridget. The URL automatically came up when I linked and I didn't check to see if it was the current post.
That mistake has happened to me as well. I don't think I will even be neat on my desk. Great desk. francesca #27
I know that feeling, made that mistake a few times
I agree about having a drak surface to work on. I goofed and got a lighter colored mat last time and still reach for my smaller, dark green, one for contrast.

G'Day Bobby
thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. I'm
running up the rear with getting around for WOYWW but here I am. OMG I wish I had more then one art surface> I would most likely still have them all in a mess regardless LOL. Oh wow I like the idea of a black cutting mat...I shall have to look out for one. I love the fawn and white card at the back right on yr desk!
hugs

What a nice tidy crafting space! :) I like to keep mine neater than my first pic shows this week...but thankfully I have enough space to spill into if I can't keep it neat, which happens more often than not! lol Have a fab WOYWW ~Deeyll #166
hi bobby, thanks for stopping by my blog! re. the ATCs - the main thing is the size 3.5"x2.5" max - to make sure your piece fits in an ATCs album :) if you want to send me a 'hi' emsil, i'm happy to send you a sneak peek or two :) claire.sauer[at]ntlworld.com
happy WOYWW and have a great, crafty week!
Look at me still making my way around the WOYWW trail! I love how organized you are with your chart. And your perseverance. I tried using one for a while and made a challenge notebook, but I didn't keep it up. Bad me. I do use my black grid mat tho and love it!
PS Bobby, thanks for the mention about the Eagle Cam in Iowa. That was awesome! It's incredible that she doesn't kill them with those giant talons! I also saw another one on YouTube that I think is located in Minnesota. You can search on "MNBound Eagles 2nd Eaglet's First Morning Close Up 4-18-13" if you haven't already seen it. Two newborns! They try to peck each other so not only do they have to survive Mom's talons, they have to survive not having an eye pecked out by a sibling!!
I have a small space too and need to put things away as I go. What a great idea to cut everything all at once. I tend to focus on one project at a time and need to finish before I can move to the next.
My room is mall too but I'm a haphazardly orderly person, sometimes though I manage to be neat! OK, I am asking my WOYWW folks to rally behind me and I truly need your support. I am in a contest and the voting ends today so it's now or never. PLEASE go vote for me, yes, I am begging, lol http://www.genuinelyjanestudios.com/genuinelyblog/gjs-design-a-book-contest-top-three-finalists-announced/
