Casology #60

I'm up bright and early this morning to make a card for the CASology challenge.  I've been a little under the weather and not really up to crafting, but while laying around I had an idea for a card.

Then came the decisions -which Cricut cut to use, what color apple, what sentiment.  As if my poor head wasn't already reeling..  Here's what I did.

Since I figured most people would do a red apple, I decided on a Granny Smith cut from Doodlecharms. The kraft cardstock is cut 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 and embossed with my new Basket Weave folder, with the bottom edge rounded. (sort of like an apple basket, don't you think?)  I  placed the apple on so that the finished card is an A2.  I wasn't sure about how to do a sentiment until I remembered my tiny tags stamps from My Craft Spot.  It fit perfectly on the leaf. A little inking and the card was done.  The difficult part was getting a good photo since the skies are rather dreary here today.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

I got the apple in the basket right away! I love the tartness of the green colour and the way it's popping up over the edge! Thanks so much for joining us at CASology this week, Bobby!

Oh, you used one of my favorite types of apples. And, your embossing does really look like an apple basket. I hope you are feeling better--remember an apple a day keeps the doctor away--I wonder if that applies if the apple is on a card?

It may apply, Joyce. I am feeling better, thank you.

I'm so sorry you were feeling under the weather, Bobby, but am glad to read in your comment above that you are feeling better now.

What a super card! I've not seen that basket weave folder before. I'm going to keep my eye out for that one!

I got it as a two part embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp, The other one is a chain link, and the set is called 'Chain' by GooseBumpz.
