FM #111

I'm finally on a roll.  I have a card for the Freshly Made sketch challenge, and another one made to post tomorrow.  It looks like I may have more time today to check out a few other challenges and get cards made for them.  Yay!  It feels good to get back to card making.

I purchased the Stained Glass stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink a while ago and was just playing around coloring the image. (NBUS according to Darnell)  I don't have any of the fancy markers so I used Distress Ink and an aquash brush to color it. I'm sure glad I got the brush because it works great for this technique.  I used colored vellum for my side panels to give them some transparency and edged them with frames that are cut with the die.  I was going to leave off a sentiment but I had this little one from My Craft Spot and thought it was perfect tucked under the teal panel.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I love getting comments so please leave one and I'll be sure to return the favor.

I've been struggling with this sketch, but you've really nailed it! Incredible stamp and wonderful coloring. Love the vellum and that little sentiment too. Bev

This is really pretty. It looks a lot like real stained glass.

I'm sorry, Bobby, I seem to have been negligent for some reason and missed a bunch of wonderful cards back to here, which I've just enjoyed catching up on. This card really took my breath away and has to be a winner! That beautifully colored image looks like a jewel! Awesome!! Hugs, Darnell
