MFW, MM #93 and CASology #80.

I have two cards ready to post now and a few more roaming around in my head that I hope will come to life later today.  There are so many challenges and so little time.  I have Valentines I need to get done for my grandchildren and Christmas and other things keep getting in the way.

My first card is for the Moxie Fab challenge.  Now this was a month long challenge on Constellations - Trendy Star Power and I just finished up my card yesterday.  I had a little trouble but in the end it's okay.  Don't you hate it when people say "It's okay"?  Like when I ask my husband "How's dinner?" and he says "It's okay." Am I the only one who takes that to mean "I've had better"?   But I digress.

The problem was I wanted to use this particular stamp.  Two stamps actually.  One a sentiment and one to make the background.  I was stamping in white ink and the sentiment came out perfectly but somewhere along the line the stars smooched.  I went an entirely different direction and that one ended up in the recycle bin.  I kept coming back to my original and found a way to make it work.

I didn't think I had any more of the exact blue paper but in searching I found one A2 size piece.  Lucky me! I stamped the stars as I had originally done, without smooches this time, with a Winnie and Walter set.  I trimmed the sentiment from the original and popped it up on foam tape.  Some of the stars have been restamped with VersaMark and embossed with sparkle powder.  (I couldn't get that banner on the My Craft Spot sentiment stamp to come out legible again although I tried 6 times on another blue paper.  That's why I used the original one.)  Enough of that sad story.

Now onto a card that turned out well the first time.  This week's Merry Monday challenge was to use an ornament on your Christmas card.

Then I saw the the cue word at CASology.

Uh huh.  I got it!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope your crafting goes smoothly.

The purple really works so well with the gold peeking through! It really reminds me of one of those old-fashioned delicate glass ornaments that were so easy to put your finger through (don't ask how I know!) Thanks for joining us at CASology!
