MIM #146

Ashley Cannon Newell has a video over at Make it Monday showing how to do an angled background. What a great way to use up scraps of paper.  I had to try it right away.

I used 7 different papers for the background.  The sentiment is cut from PTI's Wonderful Words:Hello.  I did three layers to give it depth, topping it with a red print for some pop.

The temperature is dropping to record lows but at least we're out of the snow zone.  Tomorrow will be a good day to hibernate in my craft room and get some serious card making done.  I may even try to figure out my Silhouette Portrait and do some cutting.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  Please stay safe and keep warm.

  1. This is beautiful. That red 'hello' really pops. And, great job of combining all those papers. I am in love with this technique, and really like how you put it to work here.

  2. I love how you've used the different patterns and still kept a subtle background that makes the sentiment stand out! What a great way to use scraps or snippets.

  3. Totally love this card, Bobby. You've got all those patterns nicely coordinated and that hello is perfect on this! Not too much, not too little...Just Right! Our highs on Monday are projected to be -5!! I can hardly wait...NOT! Bev

  4. The angles look great in your background and the red, "Hello" really pops!

  5. Very nice! I really like this!

  6. What a fantastic background! It's perfect behind your word art!

We had a few ridiculously cold days but today seems more reasonable! Still, when's spring?!
