CASology #83

Just a quick post before I have to go to my parent's and fix them supper.  The weather is so bad that the home care giver can't get into town to do it.  People have been asked to stay off the highways and there's a 40 car pile-up just north of here that has shut down US 127 in both directions indefinitely between two exits.  Here in town it's very windy but I think the streets are okay.

When I saw this cue for CASology, I immediately thought of jump roping.  I remember junior high gym class and how we did a LOT of jump roping, even some fancy things.  I can still do it and probably should do it more just for the exercise.

Using a cut from the Cricut Going Places cartridge and a watercolor technique shown by Kristina Werner here, I made this.

Thanks for stopping by.  If you live where the weather is iffy, please stay in if you can, and if you must go out, drive carefully.

Hope you made it home safely - love the combination of a negative die cut & watercolor peeking through on this card!

They have a cut file for everything, don't they?! This is perfect for the challenge and just as cute as can be, Bobby! Great job on the watercolor background!

I used to love jump-roping, but couldn't do it now, sadly, and I think it's cool that you still can! I hope you were able to get to your parents and back home safely. Geez, it just never let's up for you guys! Hugs, Darnell

Bobby, this is light and lovely in pastels!!! I remember in 5th grade we had jump rope contests and the one who jumped the longest got to win a scholastic book of their choice, boy did I try to win!!!! Great memories, thanks!! Thanks for joining in CASology!

This week's cue word brought back so many memories of my childhood...jumping rope was one of them! Cute idea for your card and I really love the watercoloring.

Bobby, I hope you made it back and forth safely from your parents' house in all that nasty weather. (Our snow is finally melting today, but we are expecting more of the white stuff next week!) I also loved jumping rope as a kid and still do it on occasion with my kids...trying to stay young at heart as long as I can! I love the watercoloring, such a pretty effect. Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!

Oh, this is so sweet. And I love your water coloring technique in the negative space. I remember jump rope so well--it is great exercise. Hope you managed to stay warm during the storm. Thanks for playing along at CASology this week.

Bobby what a great card. I too loved to jump rope way back when as well as the pogo stick. Everything about the card is unique and original.

Oh, the pogo stick. I had one, too, and loved it.

Love this simple, creative take on this week's cue word! I well remember spending entire recesses as a girl jumping rope with friends. My favorite...double dutch! :) Wonder if I could still manage that these days?! LOL!
Thanks so much for joining us over at CASology!
