MIM #177

Laurie Willson had a great video on Make It Monday about using the negatives from a cover plate die for your card.  How serendipitous that I had a bunch of cuts laying on my table from this card.  (I just noticed that was almost two months ago. Do you think I'd better clean up my space?)  Laurie has a neat trick for keeping all these pieces together and I wish I'd seen it before. Check it out here.

I'd guess you'd say I cheated a little since I had to cut another PTI Cross Quilt in order to line up my previous negatives. Now I have a bunch of leftovers AGAIN.  (Don't tell but since they were just white, I put them in the recycle bin.)

The sentiment is from my NBUS Technique Tuesday set called Everyday Words. embossed in gold.  I'm not really a sequiny kind of gal but I thought the card needed something and there came Ms. Serendipity again with a small pack of sequins that had the three colors of the crosses.  I love that girl!!

I love you all, too, and want to thank you for stopping by.

I recall that card, Bobby, but went back anyway to enjoy it once more ... and now I'm enjoying this one! Fabulous use of the negatives from that gorgeous modern quilt die ... love the rich colours with the yummy gold embossing! Anita :)
