MUSE #92

I just got back from a Pom Pon High Kick competition that my granddaughter was in.  Her squad won first place in their division.  Yay, Emily!!

I did have a few minutes last night to make a card for the Muse challenge this week.  Nothing like last minute card making.  Here's the inspiration card from the very prolific Vicki.

I made a card a while back for Muse that had a polka dot background and I didn't want to repeat that so I went with stripes instead.

I used the diagonal stripe stencil from SSS and Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Broken Glass and Peeled Paint.  I used the same colors with my aquabrush to watercolor the flower from Hero Arts.  The sentiment, also from Hero Arts, was stamped on vellum with Memento Tuxedo Black and embossed with clear powder.

My calendar is clear for tomorrow so I'm hoping to finish hemming the last layer of the wedding dress and then spend some time crafting.  I have my challenge list all filled in and some great ideas I want to try.  Thanks for stopping by.  Your visits and comments are truly appreciates.

I think this is really a great take on the Muse - the changing colour through the stencil is rich and warm! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Bobby!

Your stenciled background is so pretty, and I love that you used the same colors on your flowers and leaves! Clever and beautiful, Bobby!

Gorgeous stripes, Bobby ... love how the tilted panel (with such a beautiful bloom!) mimics the background pattern! Anita :)

Next to polka dots, I love stripes on cards best. And in graduated blues, well, it's just lovely. These stripes are a perfect compliment to your pretty posies too! A big congrats to Emily; I have a fondness for pom pon squads...was one myself a hundred years ago! Hope you did get some crafty time in too. Have a great week! Bev
