I've been making so many valentine cards that it seemed weird to bring out my Christmas stamps but I wanted to get a start on my cards with the challenge at Merry Monday - with a bow. Now I don't put bows on my cards, at least not real ribbon bows. Maybe a twine one now and then but if they can't be mailed in a regular envelope then I forego them. Luckily I had a bow stamp and this card was born.
I was perusing the Dick Blick catalog in art class a couple of weeks ago and saw that they had their Inktense pencils on sale half price. I couldn't afford to pass that up. I played around with them the other night and knew they would work for this stamp set by Sheena Douglas. I think the practice one turned out better than my finished card but isn't that often the case. I accidentally spattered some paint as I was wetting the pencil tip so went ahead and made intentional spatters. I will tell you, using those pencils takes practice. Lots of it.
Thanks for stopping by. Your visits and comments are always appreciated.

Inktense pencils are the next item on my list. I am just learning how to use my new prismacolors! Your card is beautiful!
Beautiful job with the pencils - your coloring is fabulous as is your whole card! Thanks so much for joining us at Merry Monday.
Love the big red bow, Bobby! I have those pencils and really need to pull them out more :)
I'm tellin' ya, those darn practice runs can really drive you nuts when they're better! This one looks great with your stamped bow and intentional spatters. Gorgeous card, Bobby!

Your coloring looks great to me, Bobby! Love this mistletoe and that pretty bow! The spatters add even more interest. Sometimes our boo boos turn out to be for the best, doncha think? Thanks for sharing this with us at Merry Monday!
Such a lovely CAS card Bobby, Thank you for joining us for Merry Monday.
I would've said you were a seasoned professional with Inktense pencils, Bobby ... this colouring is fabulous ... and I love the 'recovery' splatters! Anita :)
You're already a pro with your new pencils, Bobby! Gorgeous colouring of a most lovely image! A bow stamp...that's clever - and pretty! I don't do ribbon bows...nope, uh uh, no way! And twine sends me in a similar direction! Pretty card, indeed!
Hugs~c
You don't look like you need any more practice. Your bow is so practical, and your coloring is great. Like the splatters, too.
I love this .... the mistletoe is coloured beautifully and the bow looks fab! xx
