LIM #219

I don't often do one layer cards but thought I'd give it a try for Less Is More this week.  We're also to include splatters. Now spatters I can do.  ;)

Using my NBUS Tim Holtz Flower Garden, I stamped the stem in Peeled Paint, the flower in Memento London Fog and watercolored with Distress Inks. Then I covered the entire flower in rubber cement. Once dry, I went around the flower with Frayed Burlap, also using it to splatter and stamp the sentiment from Penny Black.  Finally I rubbed off the rubber cement.  I love this daisy stamp.  I think I'll be doing this again with some different backgrounds.

Thanks for stopping by.  Your visits and comments are appreciated.

Sigh. I love it, too, and am really sitting on my hands to keep from buying this set! This is an amazing rendition using the cone flower, Bobby! And, BTW, when you said "Now splatters I can do," you should have said "Now splatters and watercolor I can do!" I had forgotten all about masking with rubber cement. Slap! I seriously need a new hamster!! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Darnell

You my friend are becoming so versatile. I am so impressed with your variety of cards as of late, and how well they all turn out! Super job Bobby!

Oh, this is so beautiful. I have that set too, but the intricate lines have scared me away a bit so far, so I haven't used it much yet. You totally made me want to pull it out right now.

Beautiful flower--I'm seeing a flower trend here as I catch up on your blog today. You are brave for going with the splatters. They each seem to have landed on just the perfect spot. I am always afraid to try something like that, fearing to just ruin the entire card.
