MIM #210

Michele from I Card Everyone gave me this fabulous paper that is perfect for the challenge at Make It Monday - using vellum to soften patterned paper..

The reverse side of the red flowered paper is the gold that I used for my base.  I stamped the Wet Paint sentiment in black and clear embossed. then pulled out my sewing machine and stitched the vellum on leaving some tails.

Thanks for stopping by.  Your visits and comments are always appreciated.

Love the way the vellum softened the paper ,makes beautiful card! Stitching is a fun choice,I'm to lazy to get the machine out.

They look like hibiscus to me? I like the way you machine-stitched your vellum.

So pretty! The vellum really softens that busy paper! I wanted to play in that challenge, but did not have time :(

It's been awhile since I've been able to stop by, and boy the card you've got here today makes it all worth that wait! It's fantastic! The stitching is a brilliant technique for vellum, isn't it?! Works so well here. And fabby paper too! How nice that you and Michele were able to meet irl! It's always nice to meet bloggy friends in person. Have a great week. Bev

Perfect use of vellum (yet another 'ingredient' that perplexes me, although I used it just the other day...and won't be doing so anytime soon...grrr). Your card is stunning; the vellum does soften the pattern, but I bet even without the vellum, those vibrant poppies would be lovely and eye-catching!

That stitched on vellum is so very cool, and I love the tails you left on. Pretty paper underneath, too. Love seeing bits of things from your visit with Michele.
