I went through all my leaf stamps and dies and when I came upon the die from Concord and 9th I knew I had found the perfect thing to make two different cards for two different occasions.
The leaf without its stem looks just like a heart so I made an anniversary card. I cut them from some tissue paper covered cardstock that I had in my stash. By coating the back with multi medium matte, I kept all the little pieces intact. A silver embossed sentiment from PTI on a Memory Box die that I altered top off the Dove Gray base.
I took a smooshed background that I used for another card and cut more of the C9 leaves along with some from MFT. I arranged them on a circle cut with SSS stitched circles from Dark Chocolate.
I placed the wreath on some Altenew Spicy Yogurt cs, added a few brown branches from C9 and the PTI sentiment. So there you have it. Two different layouts for anniversary and Thanksgiving.
I have an update: I talked with my brother Fred and he and my brother Steve and families are both safe from Hurricane Florence. Fred's mother-in-law is staying with them because her house is under water as are two of their rental properties. At the time I talked with him they didn't know about his veterinary clinic or their vacation home.
Thanks for dropping by.

I'm so glad your brothers and their families are safe, Bobby! Thank you for letting us know. I just love what you did with these leaves for Twofer! What a gorgeous set of pink hearts you made for that pretty anniversary card! And I am really gobsmacked by the colors you achieved with that smooched background for your Thanksgiving card! The depth of the colors is amazing! It's a stunning design from the card stock base to the last sweet brown branch you added!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #9! Hugs, Darnell
I'm so glad your family is safe out there, Bobby. Florence has really been a terrifying storm. Hoping that the clinic and vacation house are okay as well.
Your cards are both beauties and making the leaves into hearts is genius!
It must be frightening to go through a hurricane. I can't even begin to imagine! So glad your brothers and families are safe!! Your cards are amazing, Bobby! I love that you've made hearts from those C9 leaves. How clever is that??!!! Gorgeous pinks, too. Your Thanksgiving card has such amazing Fall colors, too. It looks like you picked up leaves from the yard! I love this design. Thanks so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev
Very good news, indeed, Bobby. I also heard that my friend's daughter is safe … possessions can be replaced, right?
I heart that little C&9th set - you are, once again, reminding me to shop my stash! Two beautiful cards - love those fall colors!
